Coal River Environmental Education for Kids (CREEK) provides kids with healthy, wholesome, and fun opportunities to learn to take care of their environment and themselves. We teach the CREEK kids to appreciate their mountains, streams, and forests as well as useful and traditional skills such as gardening. This year, they're planting vegetables and mushrooms along with a butterfly and bee garden, building bat houses, learning beekeeping to produce their own honey, and learning about the streams and forests of home.
