Another New Mountaintop Removal Permit Proposed For Coal River Mountain

Mar 1, 2016

Bankrupt Alpha Natural Resources continues applying for NEW mountaintop removal permits on Coal River Mountain while they lay off underground miners and give their executives bonuses. This 561-acre permit (nearly a square mile) has not yet been advertised. It would fill in the puzzle between the illegal Eagle 2 permit and the Collins Fork/Workman's Creek site, near the head of Rock Creek and Stockingleg Fork.

Please follow us and support our work to end mountaintop removal sites Coal River Mountain and throughout Appalachia. Mountaintop removal kills.
